Bringing the Virtual World into Reality with Custom Film Solutions
Digital Extremes is a computer and video game studio that ranks as one of the world’s top independent development studios in the interactive entertainment industry. The Canadian-based company has a rich history in developing some of the industry’s top first-person shooter and action games, such as Epic Game’s Unreal Tournament™ series, Dark Sector® and The Darkness II to name a few.
Recently, their free-to-play video game Warframe® was celebrated at Tennocon 2016, the first ever fan convention devoted exclusively to Warframe®. The event coincided with on-going talks of creating a reimagined space for the London, Ontario office.
Digitally Printed Custom Film for Wall and Window Application
As such, Digital Extreme designers crafted incredible Warframe® artwork for a physical application. These designs were brought to life via a wide-format UV print process. Thanks to our superb in-house digital film print production we are able to achieve the precision to create a seamless environmental display.
The custom application was made possible through Presto Tape’s CanvasTac, self-adhesive and repositionable wallpaper, and Lintec’s optically clear and scratch-resistant printable film.
The collaborative process of design and material selection allowed digital artwork to extend into a phenomenal real-world display with custom film solutions. Stunning full surface designs span from wall to glass, creating a brilliant interplay between the two surfaces, due to intricate alignments and high-resolution printing. The result speaks for itself.
